This unique house plan is designed with multi-generational families in mind. This traditional two-story duplex includes the equivalent of two standalone houses, each with its own living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, master bedroom and two additional bedrooms. Though the two homes-within-a-home share a common wall, they are entirely distinct from one another for maximum privacy.
The two homes have relatively similar layouts. Both follow an open-concept floor plan for the main living area, with the space flowing seamlessly through the living room, dining room and kitchen. Both kitchens have peninsula counters with eating bars, as well as pantry closets for added storage. The master bedrooms are spacious and include private bathrooms and walk-in closets.
On the second floor, you'll find two bedrooms on each side of the house, all with walk-in closets. Both upstairs portions include expansive lofts as well, perfect for children's play areas. Shared bathrooms round out the upstairs offerings.
Both house plan segments include two-car garages with entry into their respective portions of the home. Each side of the house also includes a covered porch. In order to get from one home to the other, you'll have to go outside to the other's main entrance. This way, you can keep your home and life separate from those who live on the other side of the house.
